Dear Usama,

I am extremely sad to hear from one of your friends that you have adopted the disgusting habit of smoking. It is really  a shocking news for me. You cannot even imagine how down-hearted I am to hear this. I know you are a sober and virtuous boy, but anyone can be tempted to such sugar-coated evils.

Brother, you know, it is far easier to take up bad habit than to get rid of it. You are still at the initial stage of that injurious habit and can abandon it with a little effort. I hope you will sincerely try to give up this habit. Moreover, I have also informed about your listless attitude towards your studies.

Brother, I am very worried about your lethargic attitude towards your studies. Negligence, once in a while, is excusable, but when it occurs in quick succession, it cannot be overlooked. I feel that you have formed harmful associations and unavailing pastimes which divert you from the right path.

Brother, think seriously of your affairs. It is never too late to mend. You ought to know that the soul of success lies in diligence and assiduity. You must know that it is better to wear out than to rust out. Only such a determination can bring you credit and add to the comforts of your family. I am profoundly hopeful that you will renounce your evil habits.

Your brother,
X. Y. Z.
